Hi, thanks for visiting my site,
I’ve been offering climbing and mountaineering courses for over 20 years as a qualified instructor and although I am based in the Forest of Dean, with climbable rock within 5oo meters of where I live, I take every opportunity to climb in the rest of the UK, the Picos de Europa – Spain and the European Alps.
I have run courses for all abilities with my work as varied as abseiling off city centre towers to trek leading in the Arctic. I aim to provide a safe, informative and enjoyable experience for clients at whatever level, so that they may be inspired to get out and enjoy climbing & mountaineering as much as I do and I have many client comments which hopefully reflect this.
I hold the Mountain Instructor Certificate which is the highest qualification for instructing summer and winter climbing, and all related mountaineering activities, in the UK. I am also a member of the British Mountaineering Council the Mountain Leader Training Association and the Association of Mountaineering Instructors
Safety Policy
As a professional climbing and mountaineering instructor I take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and well being of clients in my care, however, clients should be aware of the following participation statement:
“Climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. By booking a course in these activities you are aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for your own actions and involvement. The risks can never be completely removed and that by accepting these terms you confirm that you are familiar with the nature of the activities that you wish to undertake and acknowledge those risks that are inherent therein and that you may freely withdraw from any activity without penalty and there is no pressure whatsoever to take part.”
